Infinity® CentralStation

Reaches beyond the point of care

Central surveillance of bedside and patient-worn monitors
The Infinity® CentralStation is a touchscreen workstation that gathers and displays information from Infinity patient monitors and Infinity patient-worn monitors for central monitoring of up to 32 patients on the Infinity Network. It provides access to waveforms and numeric values for any bedside and telemetry patient on the Infinity Network.

Data accessible from the Infinity CentralStation includes real-time waveforms and parameters, alarm events, stored waveforms, trends, ST points and caliper measurements, as well as laboratory values and respiratory and ventilator information. It provides remote control of alarms and arrhythmia setups, as well as a central admission capability for bedside and telemetry patients, and an extensive reporting capability using local or networked laser printers. Applications within the Infinity CentralStation enhance patient care management by providing rapid assessment, decision support and clinical reporting.

The Infinity CentralStation offers navigation via touchscreen as well as keyboard and mouse.

Event and Full Disclosure
The Infinity CentralStation includes two hours of Event and Full Disclosure as a standard feature, including electronic ECG calipers. Built-in Event and Full Disclosure capabilities reduce the need to purchase separate, costly hardware. It provides continuous storage for up to 16 waveforms, and 1,000 arrhythmia and alarm events for up to 72 hours to support the most complex monitoring. All events are classified and grouped by event type, making it easier to review and assess a patient’s response to treatment. Arrhythmia events are detected with an unprecedented degree of accuracy using the multi-lead Arrhythmia Classification Expert (ACE®) algorithm.

Patient Census and Trend Display
The Infinity CentralStation offers a seamless view of Full and Event Disclosure records, even when patients are transferred from care unit to care unit within the Infinity Network. This powerful feature organizes retrospective information into a comprehensive patient history.

To quickly determine the changes in a patient's condition, Infinity CentralStation presents graphical and tabular trends. Features such as automatic scaling help to identify slight variations that may occur with discrete parameters.

VentCentral®
The VentCentral application gathers ventilation and hemodynamic data for improved patient respiratory analysis. It provides ventilator settings, respiratory waveforms and parameters, flow-volume and pressure-volume loops, laboratory data, and trends.

ST Segment Analysis and 12-Lead Rest ECG Analysis
For timely identification and treatment of ischemia, the Infinity CentralStation continuously monitors ST changes based on individual patient needs. You can superimpose stored reference QRS complexes over current complexes to detect subtle deviations.

The Infinity CentralStation generates diagnostic 12-lead reports when connected to Infinity monitors equipped with a 12-lead capability. Reliable measurements and interpretations are based on the Glasgow Interpretive ECG algorithm for pediatric and adult patients. This proven algorithm considers patient age, gender, race, and medical and clinical classification – providing a more accurate interpretation.
